Facebook has more than 200 million active users worldwide and is most certainly an online phenomenon but will its popularity convert from small computer screen to the big screen?
Well, Columbia Pictures certainly hopes so, as it continues to advance in its plans to bring Facebook’s founding story to the cinema.
The film is due to be titled “The Social Network” and is scheduled to start production later in the year. According to some sources Columbia is in advanced talks with director David Fincher about the project.
The film will depict Mark Zuckerberg’s, the founder of Facebook, story of how a Havard student’s project became the world’s most popular Social Networking site.
Theres no doubt that this is a truly interesting story, but does it warrant a film? So will you be buying advanced tickets or giving it a miss?
