Last week, we reported MySpace’s 30% cut in its US workforce and as predicted the social network is continuing cutbacks across other international offices.

To meet the target of becoming a more ‘efficient and nimble team-orientated company’ MySpace is expected to cut up to 60% of its international staff. This means that MySpace will trim their overseas workforce from 450 to 150 staff members along with up to four office closures outside of America. Even though MySpace is still popular in most countries, they are continuing to lose more and more ground to Social Networking giants Facebook. This is no more evident than here in the UK, where Facebooks dominance over MySpace occured well over a year ago. The UK is a prime example of Facebooks dominance over MySpace and this seems to be replicating in the US where MySpace had long been Social Network leaders but have now fallen behind Facebook in usage.
