A recent report from webtrends suggests that 85% of people under the age of 35 are more than happy to engage with brands on social media sites.

Furthermore, almost a fifth of social media users claimed that they would infact regard brands more highly if they interacted and engaged them on a social networking website. Almost three quarters of users who had already responded to a brands presence on a social media site said that it increased their approval of a brand.

I am not doubting Webtrends, they are a highly respected source. I would just like to know who all of these under 35s are? No one I know likes to engage in social media with corporations. If anything, increased advertising and approaches by brands in the social media space is driving us away from it.
